One of Vauxhall’s sexiest Friday nights opens its doors for a very special event this weekend. Here promoter and DJ Tim Jones explains to Luke Till why Tonker’s Black Leather HustlaBall Pre-Party is the perfect warm-up to one of the year’s biggest events.

How has Tonker been going of late?

Fantastic – our numbers have gone through the roof recently. There have been nights where it’s one in one out by midnight, so get down to Eagle early for guaranteed entry! Why do you think that you have such a loyal crowd? Everyone I speak to just loves the laid back atmosphere, the great music and Eagle’s fantastic bar staff. We really seem to have hit the correct mix for a Friday night. People try elsewhere but always end up back with us.

 

You have had quite a few good DJs recently – who’s really pushed your Tonker button lately?

Our regulars Paul Coals and The HouseHusbands are great, but I have to say Micky Galliano has really made the party rock. We’re looking forward to an extra special set from Wayne G this week as well.

 

Is there anyone famous out there who you’d really like to turn up at Tonker?

We’d love to see Russell Crowe in his Gladiator outfit, any of the players from the England Rugby team and maybe athlete Geoff Capes too.

 

What about Hugh Jackman, aka Wolverine from the X-Men? He’s hot, but I don’t think I could cope with the shredded sheets and curtains at the afterparty at my place.

 

And after this weekend’s HustlaBall Pre- Party, what else have you got in store for the Tonker crowd?

 

We’re looking forward to the next May bank holiday when we host the Gay European Union Rugby Cup party on the Friday. Expect members of the international teams with a dress code of rugby and sports gear, so expect a very hot ‘n’ horny sports night.
